IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

No. 11 - ITO/48 . The following Open General Licence issued by the Cen- tral Government under the Notification of Government of India in the late Department of Commerce , No. 23 - IT1/ 43, dated the 1st July, 1943 , as continued in forre by the Imports and Exports ( Control ) Act , 1947 ( XVIII of 1947) is published for general information: --

OPEN GENERAL LICENCE NO . XIII
In pursuance of the Notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Commerce No. 23 - ITC / 43 , dated the Ist July 1948 , as conti- nued in force by the Imports and Exports (Control ) Act , 1947 ( XVIII of 1947) , and in partial modification of Open General Licence No. XI published with the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerc No. 6 - ITC/ 48 , dated the 3rd July 1948 , the Central Government hereby gives general permission to all persons to import from Japan any goods ( except cotton piece -goods other than Grey piece - goods ) , specified in the schedule annexed to the said Notification No. 6 - ITC / 48 , dated the 3rd July 1948 as subsequently amended , provided :---
(1) that such goods have been produced or manufactured aforesaid country; in the
(2) that such goods are shipped or despatched on or before the 81sh March 1949 from the aforesaid country;
(3) that nothing in this licence shall affect the application to any goods of any other prohibition or regulation affecting the import thereof in force at the time when such goods are imported .
