No. F. 3 ( 176 ) /48-R&R.-In exercise of the powers conferred ny suo - se- tion- (2) of Section 4 of the Census Act , 1948 (Act No. XXXVII of 1948 ) , read with Government of India , Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. 2 /14 /48 - Public , dated the 23rd September 1948 , the Chief Commissioner is pleased to appont the officers specified below to be Census Officers for the local areas entered against each , and to delegate to the Revenue Assistant , Delhi , the power of appointing other Census Officers within the area of the Delhi District :-
