NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 21st October , 1948
No. 5255- A - 01/ 18.- The Governor General is pleased to direct that with effect from 23rd October 1948 the following further amendments shall be made in the Rules for the guidance of depositors in the Post Office Savings Banks , namely:-
I. In rule 10 of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000" wherever they ocour the words and figures " Rs . 10,000 " shall be substituted .
II . In rule 11 of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000 " wherever they occur the words and figures " Rs . 10,000 " shall be substituted .
III . In rule 29 of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000" , where they occur at the end of the last sentence , the words and figures " Rs . 10,000 " shall be substituted .
IV. In clause (1 ) of rule 42 of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000 " where they occur in lines 1 and 2 , the words and figures " Rs . 10,000 shall be substituted .
V. In clause ( i ) of rule 44 of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000 " where they occur in lines 1 and 2 , the words und figures " Rs . 10,000 shall be substituted .
VI. In rule 45 of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000 " wherever they occur in clauses ( c ) and ( h ) , the words and figures " Rs . 10,000 " shall be substituted .
VII. In clause (b ) of rule 45 -A of the said rules for the words and figures " Rs . 5000 where they occur in lines 1 and 2 , the words and figures " Rs . 10,000" shall be substituted .
No. 5255 -B - 01/ 48.- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 of he Post Office National Savings Certificates Ordinance , 1944 ( No. XLII of 944 ) , the Central Government is pleased to direct that with effect from 23rd Dotober 1948 the following further amendments shall be made in the Post Office National Savings Certificates Rules , 1944 , namely:
