New Delhi , the 5th November 1948
No. 1 -PR ( 29 ) / 48 . In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Supplies (Temporary Powers ) Act , 1946 ( XXIV of 1946) the Central Government is pleased to direct that , with effect from the 1st November 1948 , the following further amendment shall be made in the Motor Spirit Rationing Order , 1941 , namely :-
" In the Second Schedule annexed to the said Order , for the entry in the second column against item 5 , the following entry shall be substitúted , namely: -
"According to the following table :-
Number of units to be allotted ( for a quarter if application is made) Where the Horse Power ( us entered in the certificate of registration in the case of a motor vehicle or as stated in the manufacturer's specification in the case of a motor boat)
