NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 12th January 1949.
No. 4/E.—In supersession of the late War Department Notification No. 2141, dated the 24th August 1946 as amended from time to time, the following Resolution concerning the constitution of a Committee for the administration of the Government of India's share of the Armed Forces Reconstruction Fund is published for general information :—
RESOLUTION
Resolved—
(a) that a Committee for the administration of the Government of India's share of the Armed Forces Reconstruction Fund to be known as "The Armed Forces Reconstruction Fund Committee" be set up;
(b) that the Committee do consist of—
Chairman.—The Honourable Defence Minister.
Vice Chairman.—Defence Secretary.
Members.—
Chief of the Naval Staff and Commander-in-Chief, Royal Indian Navy.
Chief of the Army Staff and Commander-in-Chief, Indian Army.
Chief of the Air Staff and Comnender-in-Chief, Royal Indian Air Force.
Financial Adviser, Ministry of Finance, (Defence).
36 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAOEDINABY, JAN. 12 , 1949 (c) that the functions qf the Committee be—(i) to take over the Government of India's share of the Armed Foroea Be construction Fund after division between the Dominion^ of .India and Pakistan.
(ii) to determine the policy regarding investment of the Fund; and (hi) to administer and distribute the Fund and to make such Bulea and Begulations in connection therewith ae may be necessary.
(d) that the Committee may appoint a Secretary/Treasurer 'to operate upon the Fund on behalf of the Committee.
