No. S. O. 22.- The following Order made by the Governor- General is published for general information : -
THE HIGH COURT JUDGES ( AMENDMENT ) ORDER,
1949
In the exercise of the powers conferred by section 221 of the Government of India Act , 1935 , and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf , the Governor - General is pleased to make the following Order : --
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the High Court Judges (Amendment) Order , 1949 .
(2) It shall come into force at once .
2. In paragraph 19 of the Government of India (High Court Judges ) Order , 1937 , for clause (b) of sub- paragraph (3) the following shall be substituted: --
" (b ) if he is neither a member of the Indian Civil Service nor entitled to a special pension under the rules referred to in clause ( a) , a special additional pension of five hundred rupces per annum in respect of each completed year of service for pension in any one or more of the High Courts , so however that such additional pension together with the special additional pension , if any , admissible to him under the said rules does not in any case exceed two thousand five hundred rupees per annum . "
