NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 16th March, 1949

No. F. 4(46)-F.l/49.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 53 of the Banking Companies Act, 1949 (X of 1949) and on the recommendation of the Reserve Bank.of India, the Central Government is pleased

(1) to declare that for a period of six months with effect from the 16th March, 1949 (the date of coming into force of the said Act), the provisions of sections 10(l)(c)(i) and (ii) and 16 of the said Act shall not apply to any banking company, and

(2) to declare that for the same period with effect from the same date—

(i) the provisions of section 10(l)(b)(i) of the said Act, so far as these provisions relate to the employment of any person who is or at any time has insolvent, or has suspended pay- ment or has his creditors, and

(ii) the provisions of section 25 of the said Act, shall not apply to the undernoted banking companies, namely: —

1. New Bank of India, Limited. 2. Traders' Bank Limited. 3. Lakshmi Commercial Bank Limited. 4. Punjab and Kashmir Bank Limited. 5. Prabhat Bank Limited. 6. Chawla Bank Limited. 7. Punjab Commerce Bank Limited. 8. Frontier Bank Limited. 9. First National Bank Limited.

10. Commercial Bank of India, Limited. 11. National Bank of Sialkot, Limited. 12. Colony Bank Limited.

Collector and Competent Authority under the Resettlement of Displaced

Persons (Land Acquisition) Act, 1948.

Notice under Section_^4--of the Eesettlement of Displaced Persons (Land Acquisition) Act, 1948to Shri Earn Kishan, s/o Ganga Sahai, Brahman, Gali Ahiran, Paharj^Dhiraj, Delhi, Owner.

The land described below is required for the resettlement of Displaced Persons and this has already been notified under Section 3 of the said Act in ihe extraordinary issue, dated 5th January 1949 of the Government of India Gazette, vide Chief Commissioner's Notification No. F.l(130)/48-L.S.G.(I)_ dated the 1st January 1949. Notice under Section 3(2) of the said Act has also been issued and contains the substance of the said Notification stating that.j)ossession of the land will be taken on the seventh day after the date of publication of the said Notification. You as owner of the said land are hereby informed that action to take over the land on the seventh day will be taken.
