No. 60 Μ.Ι ( 1 ) /49.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (2) of section 1 of the Merchant Shipping Laws ( Extension to Acceding States and Amendment) Act , 1949 (XVIII of 1949 ) , the Contral Government is pleased to direct that the said Act shall come into force on the 10th April 1949 .
