No. 53/E.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section
241 of the Government of India Act, 1986, as adapted by the India (Provisional
(Constitution) Order 1947, the Governor General is pleased to direct, that the
following amendments shall be made to the schedule in the Civilians in Defence
Services (Revision of Pay) Rules 1947, namely:—
In the schedule annexed to the said rules under the heading "D.O.S., D.T.D.,
and D.M.E.—Fire Brigade Personnel" delete the posts from "Fire Engine
Drivers" to "Fire fighters" and connected entries and insert the following: —
