No. 8 /11/49-Judi. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Delhi Laws Act , 1912 (XII of 1912) , the Central Government is pleased to extend to the Province of Delhi the Punjab Excise (East Punjab Amendment; Act, 1048 (Esst Punjab Act IX of 1948 ) , subject to the following modifications namely:--
In the said Act , the references to East Punjab shall be construed as refer ances to the Province of Delhi and references to the Provincial Government shall be construed as references to the Chief Commissioner .
