AN
ORDINANCE
to amend the Industrial Tribunals Payment of Bonus ( National Savings Certificates ) Ordinance , 1949 ( XI of 1949) , for certain purposes .
WHEREAS an emergency has arisen which makes it necessary to amend the Industrial Tribunals Payment of Bonus (National Savings Certificates) Ordi- nance , 1949 ( XI of 1949) , for the purposes hereinafter appearing ;
NOW , THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Government of India Act , 1985 ( 26 Geo . 5 , c . 2) , the Governor -General is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:--
1. Short title . This Ordinance may be called the Industrial Tribunals Payment of Bonus ( National Savings Certificates ) Amendment Ordinance , 1940 .
2. Amendment of section 3 , Industrial Tribunals Payment of Bonus ( Nation- al Savings Certificates ) Ordinance , 1949.-In section 3 of the Industrial Tribu- nals Payment of Bonus ( National Savings Certificates ) Ordinance , 1949 ( XI of 1949) , the figure and word " 12 - year shall be omitted .
