NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 23rd August , 1949
No CA/43 (3 ) /Ser/49.-WHEREAS in view of the change that has recently taken place in the constitutional and administrative position of the Indian States of Travancore and Cochin , difficulties have arisen in the carrying out of the Constituent , Assembly Ru'es in respect of the seats allotted to the said States in the Assembly ;
NOW , THEREFORE , in exercise of the power conferred by rule 66 of the said Rules and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf , the President of the Constituent Assembly hereby makes the following provision for the purpose of removing the snid difficulties:-
PROVISION
That in the Annexure to the Schedule to the said Rules--
( i ) in Part I , all the entries in columns 1 , 2 and 3 relatingto Travancore and Cochin shall be omitted ; aud
( ii ) in Port II . after the entries relating to Patiala and East Punjab States Union . the following entries shall be inserted in columns 1, 2 and 3 under the respective headings thereto as below: - indicated
Name of State or States.
Number of seats allotted in the Constituent Assembly.
Authorityfor the purpose of tho choosing of representativos in the Constituent Assembly .
