No. 25-ITC/49.—Open General Licence No XV issued by the Central Govern- ment in pursuance of the Notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Commerce No. 23-ITC/43, dated the 1st July 1943, as con- tinued in force by the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1947 (XVIII of 1947) and published with the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No 13-1TC/49, dated the 19th May 1949 is hereby cancelled

Provided that goods of any description coveted by the said Licence which have been despatched on through consignment to India on or before the 15th September 1949 will be treated as having been imported thereunder

IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

OPEN GENERAL LICENCE NO XVI

In pursuance of the Notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Commerce No 23 ITC/43, dated the 1st July 1943, as continued in force by the Imports and Exports (Control) Ad, 1947 (XVIII of 1947] the Central Government hereby gives general permission to all persons to import until farther notice from all countries except (a) Countries comprised in the continents of North, Central and South America and Philippine Islands with the exception of Brazil Chile and Uruguay, (b) British/American/French Zones of Germany, Belgium and Belgian colonies, Portugal and Portuguese Colonies (excluding Portuguese possessions in India) and Japan (c) Switzerland and (d) Union of South Africa any good" of the description specified in the annexed Schedule

Provided that such goods have not been produced or manufactured in any of the excepted territories mentioned above and provided further that nothing on this licence shall affect the application to any goods of any prohibition or
