NOTIFICATION

EXPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 28th August 1949

No. 9l-OW(10)/48.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1947 (XVIII of 1947), the Central Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in the notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Commerce No 91-CW(l)/45. dated the 3rd November 1945 namely: —

In the Schedule annexed to the said notification— In Part C--

Item 3, entries (i) to (vi), (viii) to (xi) and (xiii) to (xv) of item-6, and items 7, 9 11 and 12 shall be omitted.

In Part D— (a) Item 26 shall be omitted.

(b) After entry (vi) of item 36 the following entry shall be inserted, namely: —

''(vii) Surgical and veterinary instruments including dental goods other than those of indigenous origin".

(c) After item 39B the following item shall be inserted, namely: —

"39C. Manufactured articles not specified elsewhere in this Schedule, made wholly or mainly of any of the metals or alloys, specified m item 16 of Part A or in item 6 of Part C or in item 42 of Part D, including containers, when not in use as containers, but excluding locks and padlocks and art brassware and item 42 (iii) of this Part."

(d) For entry 42 the following shall bo substituted, namely: — "42. Metals and ores, the following: — (i) Aluminium and aluminium alloys,(ii) Antimony alloys containing more than 10 per cent, of antimony including printing and bearing alloys, (iii) Chrome ore, kyanite, manganese ore and iron ore, (iv) Cobalt, ( 1 4 6 5)

I^M) Indium oHimiiflmin, nidosinine and eonrentuvtes containing indium,

(vu) Lead ore, pig load, ]rad sheets; lead pipes end tubes; lead alloyu,

(\iii) Moiybdenura and molybdenum ores,

(IA] Platinum, orude and refined; platinum alloys,

(*) liadium, radium ores and concentrates,

(xi) Tungsten und tungsten oio (Woltiem),

(xu) Vanadium and vanadium oius, and

(e) After item ol tho IO11O\M% itom shall be jusurted, namely —

(i) Aitt i item 65 the following item whall be niseited, nemfly:-- '05A Vehicles and part^ thoieoi (excluding old Bt-mp parts), the follow- ing:—

(i) Motoi \alucle3, munelj motoi L"I-J, motor cyolns and motor omnibuses, vane and lomes and chossi ftiv the same -wh&thtt, fitted with rubber tyres and tubes at JIOU, and

(n) Parts of motor vehicles, including rubber tyrea and .tubes and produoer gas plants".

(y) Aitei item 67 the following item Rhall be inserted, namoly.-—

"07-A Wood and timber, an sorta, including plywood and other laminat- ed •wood und firewood but excluding agarwood and aandtuwoou, also chests, boxes, orates, and other contanieis made therefrom when exported empty and paits thereof including shooks"
