No. 8/3/49-Judl.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Ajmer-Merwara ( E x t e n s i on of Laws) Act 1947 (LII of 1947), the Central Government is pleased to extend the United Provinces (Temporary) Accounts modation Requision Act 1947, (United Provinces Act XXV of 1947), as now in force, to the province of Ajmer Merwara subject to the following modifica- tions, namely.—
(i) References to the United Provinces shall be construed as references to the Province of Ajmer Merwara
(ii) The powers of the Provincial Government shall be exercisable also by the Chief Commissioner

No, 91-C.W.(10)/48.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of section 3 of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1947 (XVIII of 1947), the Central Government is, pleased to direct that the following further amend- ments shall be made in the notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Commerce, No. 91 C W (l)/45, dated the 3rd November, 1945, namely —
In the schedule annexed to the said notification— In part B— Items 1 to 8 shall be omitted In part D—

(i) Chocolates and Chocolate confectionery, (ii) Processed fruit; pioduots such an jams, mannuladefe, jelly and crystallised fruits, (iii) Syrups and fruit squashed, (iv) Indian sweets aiid homo made sweet preparations which contain either food grain or pulsed or milk or milk products." (c) After item 26 the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-
"26A. Fish, dried (salted and unsalted).
26B. Fodder, brun iuid pollards. 2fiC. Fruits, nuts and "vegetables (inoluding dried, salted or preserved, uot canned or bottled), other than tamarind, cftBhew nuts, wahiute and garlicB."
