In pursuance of sub - clause ( ii ) of clause ( b ) of Article 6 of the Constitution of India , the Government of the Dominion of India is pleased to appoint , im respect of ouch of the territorial divisions specified in column Lof the Schedule hereto annexed , the officer specified in column 2 thereof, us the officer by whom persons rosiding within that territorial division will be rezistered as citizens of India under the provisions of the said sub - clause .

4. Each revenue sub - division of the Cachar District in Assam.

II . STATES-
The Dowan Peishkar of the Division.
1. Each Division of the United State of Travancore - Cochin ( viz . Tri- vandrum, Quilon , Kottayam and Trichur ) .
2. Each District of any other State .
The officer (by whatever name designated) in charge of the revenue administration of the District .
