No. F.28(l)/49-CS.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 4 of the Drugs (Control) Ordinance, 1949 (Ordinance No. XXVI of 1949), the Chief Commissioner, Delhi Province, is pleased to direct that the following amendment shall be made in his Notifica- tion No. F.28(l)/49-CB., doted the 3rd October 1949, namely,
At the end of the Schedule, the following shall be added, in Column II fixing the retail prices in respect of each item of drugs set out against it in Column I:—

BxiJBEGH :~R6validation of capital goods and heavy electric plant licences—
procedure to be adopted.
No. 17(84)-ITO/49.—Under the Capital Goods and H.E.P. licensing proce-
dure licences are issued valid initially for a, period of six months, and buoh tv licence is revahdated if an application is made within this period produoing evi- dence of a, firm contract having been mado with the over-seas suppliers. in some cases it has been noticed that licence holders have taken wtops to enter into firm contracts but havo not applied for revalidation within the time limit of abc months. Such cases have in the past been considered on their merits and re- validation permitted in several cases,

In view of the difficult foreign exchange position and the need for c-loso regulation of the foreign exchange oominitmonts of the country, it has been decided that thia procedure must be tightened up and the rules strictly enforced. S. It is accordingly notified that after 31st December 1949 no application whatsoever for revaljdation will be considered unless an application has been mnde giving satisfactory evidence regarding t h e' conclusion of ti riim cunVraut within tho period of-six months from the date of issue of the licence. It will be appreoiatod that under thia decision all Capital Goods licences issued on the 30th June 1949 which have not boon revalidated so far will be treated as having lapsed unless an application for revalidation with tho necessary evidence has- been made before the 1st January 1950.
