In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Sea Customs , 1878 ( VIII of 1878 ) , as in force in India and as applied to the State f Pondicherry , the Central Government hereby makes the following amend- ent in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Revenue Division ) No. 26 - Customs , dated the 10th May , 1956 , namely : -
