SUBJECT :-Import of Textile machinery ( S. 12. 5 / III ) for the year April 1962- March 1963 .
No. 102 - ITC ( PN ) /62.-Attention of importers is invited to remarks against item No. VII-" Other items of Textile machinery " in the Table given under paragraph 2 of Appendix 50 of the Red Book for the year April 1962 - March 1963 .
2. On a review of the position , it has been decided to introduce the following further clause in the remarks against item No. VII of the table after ( il ) ( a ) and before ( if ) (b ) on page 674 of the current Red Book : -
""The Import will also be allowed for these machines on 50:50 basis against production of documentary evidence of bank guarantee or irrevocable letters of credit to the extent of 40 % of the price of indigenous ma- chines together with a deposit receipt for 10 % of the value of the machines on firm order ."
SUBJECT: -Import of coal- tar dyes , textile chemicals etc. against exports of hand- loom fabrics . No. 103 - ITC ( PN ) /62.-Attention is invited to para 3 of Public Notice No. 84- ITC ( PN ) / 61 dated the 6th July , 1961 , according to which licensing against exports of handloom fabrics under the Cotton Textiles Export Incentive Scheme has been centralised at the office of the Joint Chief Controller of Imports & Exports , Madras .
2. It has now been decided that licences for imports in terms of the above Public Notice will now be granted by the Joint Chief Controller of Imports and Exports , Bombay, Calcutta and Madras and the Deputy Chief Controller of Imports & Ex- ports , Central Licensing Area , New Delhi in their respective jurisdiction ,
3. Exporters of Handloom Fabrics will as usual . be required to register them- selves with the Textile Commissioner , Bombay and to produce import entitlement certificate as lald down in Public Notice referred to in para I above .
