NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 1st November 1962
No. F. 3 ( 21) -5 / NS /62 . It is hereby notified that the following amendment shall be made in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance ( Department of Economic Affairs ) No. F. 3 ( 21 ) -2 / NS / 62 dated the 1st November , 1962 , namely:-
In the said Notification after paragraph 9 , the following paragraph shall be inserted:-
" 10. The holder of a Certificate issued in respect of a 10 - Year Treasury Savings Deposit received during the period between the 1st Novem- ber 1962 and the 9th November 1962 , both days inclusive , under the Government of India, Ministry of Finance , Notification No. F. 2 ( 15 ) 7/NS / 57 dated the 27th May 1957 , shall have the option to get this Certificate exchanged withwithin the period specified in this behalf by the Central Government with a Certificate for a 10- Year Defence Deposit of an equivalent amount issued under this Notification . In such a case , the new Certificate shall be issued bearing the date of the original deposit and shall be governed by the provisions of this Notification , notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the foregoing provisions . "
