IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 2nd November 1962
SUBJECT. Import of Hades and Skins , raw or salted ( S. No. 144 / IV ) from Afghanistan .
No. 156 - ITC ( PN ) /62.-Attention is invited to Schedul ' A' of the Ministry of Commerce and industry Pubus Notice No. 122 - ITC ( PN ) / 62 dated 19in ssp.ein- ber , 1962 , on the subject of import of fruits etc. , from Afghanistan , wherein Hides and Skins have also been induded as commodities for export from Ar hamstan to India during the 1962-63 Trade Agreement period.
2. It has now been decided to issue pe mits for import of hides and skins from Afghanistan during the 1962-63 , Agrcement period ( October , 1962 November, 1963 ) , freely boch to established importers and new comers . Permits under the Public Notice will be issued as and when applied fo a ter necessary scrutiny and subject to the terms and conditions as luiu down in the Ministry of Comme ce and Industry Public Notice No. 6 - IIC ( PN ) / 60 , dated 12th January , 1960. Imports can also be effented against permits issued under this Public Notice by steamers vis Iranian Forts .
3. Intending importers of hides and skins from Afghanistan may accordingly appay for permits o the Joint Chef Controlle of Impo is and Exports Bumbay and the Deputy Chief Controller of Imports and Exports ( Central Licensing A.ea. New Deshi as the case may be . No prior regiswanon is necessary in the case of new comer firms .
