New Delhi , the 5th January 1963
G.S.R. 57.- Whereas in the opinion of the Central Government the issue dated the 1st December , 1962 , of the Tamil weekly entitled " Desabhimani " , edited and published by Hassan Mohideen Packeer Mohideen at Colombo , Ceylon , contains prejudicial reports as defined in clause ( 7 ) read with sub -clauses ( n) and ( p ) of clause ( 6 ) of rule 35 of the Defence of India Rules , 1962 ;
Now , therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 45 of the Defence of India Rules , 1962 , the Central Government hereby prohibits the further sale or distribution of the said issue or any extract therefrom or of any translation thereof, and the sale or distribution of any subsequent issue of the said periodical and declares the said issues and every copy or translation thereof or extract therefrom , to be forfeited to Government .
