IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT - Long Shoremen's Strike in U.S.A. Revalidation of import licences .
No. 9 / ITC ( PN ) / 63 . It has been reported that due to the recent maritime strike in the United States of America ( from 23rd December 1962 to 26th Jan- uary 1963 ) all export cargo movement from Atlantic & Gulf ports of the United States had been interrupted and shipments against licences could not be effected.
2. In order to facilitate the shipment against the import licences which may have expired, it has been decided that the validity of all import licences affected by the strike will be deemed to have been extended upto 28th February 1963 .
