S.O. 532. In pursuance of the provisions of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is publi- shed for general information :-

Election to fill casual vacancy
"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub - section (2 ) of section 53 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , I declare that Chavan Yeshwantrao Balwantrao of H. No. 310 , Shukrawar , Ward No. 4 Shukrawar , Guruwar and Raviwar ( Unit No. 2 ) at and Post- Karad ( District-Satara ) has been duly elected unopposed by the elected Members of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra to fill the seat in the Council of States fallen vacant on account of the resignation of Shri Vinayakrao Pandurang Patil .
