PUBLIC NOTICE
New Delhi , the 27th February , 1963
SUBJECT .- Export of seedlar , shellac and all other forms of lac and manu- factures thereof .
No. 4 - ETC ( PN ) / 63 . In supersession of Public Notices No. 1 / ETC ( PN ) / 63 and No. 3 - ETC ( PN ) / 63 , issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi in the Gazette of India dated the 5th January and 2nd February 1963 respectively and in partial modification of paragraph 2 of Public Notice No. 9 / ETCETC ( PN )( PN ) (62 , dated the 29th October 1962 on the above subject, it has been decided by the Government of India that a certificate to the following effect shall accompany the application for export of seedlac, shellac , button lac , garnet lac and all other forms of lac or manufactures thereof excluding refuse lac and stick lac: -
( i ) Where the export is for seedlac , fifty per cent ( by weight ) of the quantity of seedlac to be exported has been acquired from the stocks held by the State Trading Corporation, and
( ii ) Where the export is for shellac , button lac , garnet lac and all other forms of lac or manufactures thcreof excluding refuse lac and stick lac , a quantity of seedlac equivalent to fifty per cent ( by weight ) of shellac , button lac, garnet lac and all other forms of lac or manu- factures thereof excluding refuse lac and stick lac , as the case may be , to be exported , has been acquired from the stocks held ' by the State Trading Corporation .
2. The condition requiring drawal of 50 per cent quantity from the State Trading Corporation stocks of seedlac does not apply to export of refuse lac and stick lac and consequently the exporters of refuse lac and stick lac are not required to produce the certificate at the time of shipment of rerefuse lac and stick Jac .
