IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT: Import of Hides and Skins , raw or salted ( S. No. 144 / IV ) from Aghanistan .
No. 16 - ITC ( PN ) /63.-Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commere , & Industry Public Notice No. 156 - ITC ( PN ) / 62 , dated the 2nd November , 1962 re- garding import of Hides and Skins from Afghanistan during 1962-63 Agreement period.
2. It has since been decided that the last date for submission of applications for permits in terms of the aforesaid Public Notice will be 31st July 1963 and that the validity period of the permits issued in terms of the Ministry of Com- merce & Industry Public Notice No. 156 - ITC ( PN ) / 62 , dated 2nd November 1962 will be six months or upto 30th November 1963 whichever is earlier .

SUBJECT : -Long Shoremen's Strike in U.S.A -Revalidation of import Licences
No. 17 - ITC ( PN ) / 63 .-Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 9 - ITC ( PN ) / 63 , dated the 31st January 1963 under which the validity of all import licences affected by the maritime strike in U.S.A. Docks was extended upto the 28th February , 1963 .
2. With representations from the trade , the matter has been considered further and it has been decided that the validity of all such affected import licences expiring by 31st January , 1963 , will be deemed to have been extended upto the 31st March , 1963 .
