ORDER
New Delhi , the 16th March 1963
G.S.R. 462. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Paddy and Rice ( Restric- tion on Movement ) Order , 1961 , namely : -
1. This Order may be called the Uttar Pradesh Paddy and Rice ( Restriction on Movement ) Amendment Order , 1963 .
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Paddy and Rice (Restriction on Movement ) Order , 1961,-
( i) in clause 3 , the words and figure " Subject to the provisions of clause 4" shall be omitted;
(ii) in clause 4, the words " or paddy" shall be omitted;
( iii ) in the Schedule , after item 8 and the entry relating thereto , the follow- ing item and entries shall be inserted , namely: -
Basti
Gorakhpur" .
CLARIFICATORY NOTE. The following is a clarificatory note and does not form part of this Order: -
The restriction on the movement of paddy from the Trans - Rapti and Trans- Rohin area has been lifted. However to ensure that such paddy does not go out of the concerned levy districts , Basti and Gorakhpur districts have been formed into an additional separate block for purposes of regulation of inter- district movement of paddy .
