NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 18th March 1963
8.O. 681.- Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri BalavantraoBala Nagesharao Datar elected to that House from the Belgaum Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Mysore ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 3rd May , 1963 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the said vacancy.

S.O. 682. In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye - election to be held in the Belgaum Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Mysore , in pursuance of its notification No. 100/1/2/63 ( 1 ) , dated the 18th March , 1963 ;
( a) the 25th March , 1963 , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 27th March , 1963 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 30th March , 1963 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candida- tures;
necessary , be (d) the 28th April, 1963 , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessa taken; and
(e) the 3rd May , 1963 , as the date before which the election shall be completed.

8.0. 683. In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8-00 A.M. to 5-00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the House of the People from the Belgaum Parliamentary Constituency, to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/1/2/63 ( 1 ) , dated the 18th March , 1963.
