NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 27th March 1963
S.O. 939.-Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Rani Keshar Kumari Devi elected to that House from the Raipur ( ST ) Parliamentary constituency in the State of Madhya Pradesh;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of section 149 of the Representa- tion of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 12th May , 1963 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person belonging to any of the Scheduled Tribes whether of Madhya Pradesh or of any other State (excluding the tribal areas of Assam ) to fill the vacancy so caused.

8.0. 940. In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the Bye-election to-election to be held in the Raipur ( ST ) Parliamentary constituency in the State of Madhya Pradesh in pursuance of its notification No. 100/ MP - HP / 16 / 63 ( 1 ) dated the 27th March, 1963 :-
(a) the 3rd April, 1963 , as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 5th April, 1963 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 8th April, 1963 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) the 4th May , 1963 , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken; and
(e) the 12th May, 1963 , as the date before which the election shall be com- pleted.

S.O. 941. In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951, the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall,shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the House of the People from Raipur ( ST ) constituency to bebe held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / MP- HP/ 16 / 63 ( 1 ) , dated the 27th March, 1963 .
