G.S.R. 577.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of sec- tion 1 of the Central Sales Tax ( Amendment ) Act , 1963 ( 8 of 1963 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of April , 1963 , as the date on which the said Act shall come into force.
