IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 5th April, 1963
SUBJECT .-- Import of Dates [ S. No. 21 (b ) / IV ] from Saudi Arabia , Muscat and other Persian Gulf ports excluding Iran and Iraq during March- August 1963 by sailing vessels .
No. 26 - ITC ( PN ) / 63 . It has been decided to grant ad - hoc licences for limport of dates from Saudi Arabia , Muscat and other Persian Gulf ports excluding Iran and Iraq by sailing vessels within the basic years from 1956-57 to 1961-62 .
2. Established Importers who had imported this item from the above countries by sailing vessels within any one of the basic years mentioned above should submit theirtheir applications to the Jt . Chief Controlleroller of Imports & Exports . Bombay on or before 21-4-1963 in the usual form and manner stating clearly the specific country for which they want to import supported by documentary evidence in respect of past imports of the said item from that particular country .
3. Import licences granted to eligible established importers will be valid for import fromfrom that particular country for which they have past imports subject to the condition that the goods will be imported by sailing vessels only and the validity period of such licences will be six months .
