NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 20th April 1963
S.O. 1153. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 4 ) of section 78A of the Indian Patents and Designs Act , 1911 ( 2 of 1911 ) , the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following amendment to the notification of the Government of India in the late Department of Industries and Labour No. A - 342 , dated 16th October , 1923 , namely : -
In the said notification the words " of inventions patented, and " , wherever they occur , shall be omitted.

S.O. 1154. Whereas , it appears to the Central Government that the legislature of the Commonwealth of Australia has made satisfactory provision for the protec- tion of inventions patented in India ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 4 ) of section 78A of the Indian Patents and Designs Act , 1911 (2 ofof 1911 ) , thethe Central Government hereby directs that the provision of the said section shall , with effect from the 20th April , 1963 , apply for the protection of inventions patented in the Common- wealth of Australia .
