DELIMITATION COMMISSION
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 7th June 1963
S.O. 1594. - In pursuance of sub- section ( 2) of section 9 of the Delimitation Commission Act, 1962, (61 of 1962 ) as applied by section 43 of the Government of Union Territories Act , 1963 (20 of 1963 ) , the Delimitation Commission hereby publishes its proposals for the division of the Union Territory of Goa , Daman and Diu into two single - member parliamentary constituencies and for the delimitation of assembly constituencies in that Union Territory and specifies the 7th July , 1963 as the date on or after which the proposals will be further considered by it .
Any objections or suggestions in regard to these proposals should reach the Secretary of the Delimitation Commission ( No. 1 , Aurangzeb Road , Newew Delhi - 11 ) , before the said date . It will facilitate prompt consideration if they are in English .
PROPOSALS
The territorial constituencies into which the Union territory of Goa , Daman and Diu shall be divided for the purpose of elections to (a ) the House of the People and (b ) the Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory and the extent of each constituency , shall be as shown in the following Tables :-
