NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 4th July 1963
S.O. 1904. In pursuance of section 50 of the Government of Union Territories Act , 1963 ( 20 of 1983 ) , and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Presi- dent hereby gives the following direction , namely:-
Without prejudice to the provisions of section 44 of the Government of Union Territories Act , 1963 , thethe CouncilCouncil of Ministers shall, in each Union territory , also aid and advise the Administrator in the exercise of his functions in relation to all matters with respect to which-
(a) any power or duty conferred or imposed upon the Central Government by the Defence of India Act , 1962 (51 of 1962 ) , or by the Defence of India Rules , 1962, has been delegated to the Administrator under sec- tion 40 of that Act ; and (b) any power or duty has been conferred or imposed on the Administrator by the Act and Rules referred to in clause (a) :
Provided that in case of difference of opinion between the Administrator and his Council of Ministers on any such matter , the provisions of the proviso to sub - section ( 1 ) of section 44 of the Government of Union Territories Act , 1963 , shall apply as they apply in case of difference of opinion on any matter referred to in that sub- section.
