A Bill to amend the Warehousing Corporations Act , 1962 .
BE it enacted by Parliament Republic of India as follows :- in the Fourteenth Year of the
1. This Act may be called the Warehousing Corporations Short title (Amendment ) Act , 1963 .

5 2. In sub - section ( 2) of section 3 of the Warehousing Corpora- Amendment tions Act , 1962 , after the words " at New Delhi " , the words " or at of section 1 . such other place as the Central Government may , by notification in the Official Gazette , specify " shall be inserted .

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
Section 3 ( 2 ) of the Warehousing Corporations Act , 1962 , provides that the head- office of the Central Warehousing Corporation shall be situated at New Delhi . Government consider that they should be in a position to locate the head - office at any place which might be convenient and suitable . This would be in consonance with the scheme of the Government of India for the dispersal of offices from Delhi . The Bill seeks to amend section 3 ( 2 ) of the Act suitably so that the proposal might be implemented , if necessary .
