NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 4th November 1963
8.O. 3111. Whereas sub- section ( 1 ) of section 53 of the Government of Union Territories Act, 1963 provides that , as soon as practicable after the commencement of that Act , elections shall be held in accordance with the law to fill the seats in the House of the People allotted to the Union Territory of Goa, Daman and Diu;
And whereas the Government of Union Territories ( Removal of Difficulties ) Order No. 3 further provides that the said elections shall be deemed to be elections to fill casual vacancies ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon thethe Panjim parliamentary constituency and the Marmagoagoa parliaparliamentary constituency to elect before the 14th December , 1963 , in accordance with the pro- visions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , one person each to fill the said vacancies .

S.O. 3112. In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the elections to be held in the Panjim and Marmagoa Parliamentary constituencies , in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / GOA / HP / 63 ( 1 ) , dated the 4th November , 1963:
(a) the 11th November , 1963 , as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 13th November , 1963 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ; (c) the 16th November , 1963 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candi- datures;
be taken ; and (d) the 9th December , 1963 , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , (e) the 14th December , 1963 , as the date before which the election shall be completed.

S.O. 3113.- In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. as the hours during which poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the elections to the House of the People from the Panjim and Marmagoa Parliamentary constituencies to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / GOA/ HP / 63 ( 1 ) , dated the 4th November , 1963 .
