8.R.O. 8 - E.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of sec- tion 16 of the Cantonments Act , 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) , the Central Government hereby fixes the 8th December , 1963 , as the date on which a casual election in Ward No. II of the Wellington Cantonment to fill the casual vacancy in that ward caused by the resignation of Shri R. Govinda Raj , shall be held .
