8.0 . 3206.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , in addition to the officers appointed vide its notification No. 434 / GOA/ 63 (2) dated the 25th October , 1963 , the Election Officer , Secretariat , Panjim , to assist the returning officer for the Panjim and Marmagoa parliamentary consti- tuencies in the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu in the performance of his functions .
