NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 16th November , 1963
S.O. 3208. Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri Debendra Nath Karjee elected to that House from the Cooch Behar Parliamentary Constituency in the State of West Bengal ;
Now, therefore , in pursupursuance of the provisions of section 149 , of the Represen- tation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon thethe sald constituency to elect before the 27th December , 1963 , in accordance with the pro- visions of the said Act , and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person belonging to the Scheduled Castes of West Bengal to fill the vacancy so caused .

S.O. 3209.-In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye - election to be held in the Cooch Behar Parliamentary Constituency in the State of West Bengal , in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / WB - HP/ 2/63 ( 1 ) , dated the 16th November , 1963.-
( a) the 23rd November , 1963 , as the last date for making nominations ;
( b ) the 25th November , 1963 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
( c ) the 28th November , 1963 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candida- tures;
( d) the 22nd December , 1963 , as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary , be taken; and
(e) the 27th December , 1963 , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

8.O. 3210. In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8 A.M. to 4-30 P.M. аа the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the bye- election to the House of People from the Cooch Behar Constituency , to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / WB- HP/ 2 / 63 ( 1 ) , dated the 16th November , 1963 .
