NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 16th November , 1963 .
S.O. 3211. Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People conse- quent on the election of Shri Gurugobinda Basu , a member elected to that House from the Burdwan Parliamentary constituency in the State of West Bengal , having been declared void by the Election Tribunal , Bankura ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 27th December, 1963 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder, a person to fill the vacancy so caused.

S.O. 3212. In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye - election to be held in the Burdwan Parliamentary constituency in the State of Westest Bengal, in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / WB - HP/ 1 /62 ( 1 ) , dated the 16th November , 1963-
( a) the 23rd November , 1963 , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) the 25th November , 1963 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
( c) the 28th November , 1963 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candi- datures;
(d) the 22nd December , 1963 , as the date on which a poll shall , if neces- sary , be taken ; and
(e ) the 27th December , 1963 , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

S.O. 3213. In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8 A.M. to 4-30 Р.М. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the House of the People from the Burdwan constituency to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / WB - HP / 1 / 62 ( 1 ) , dated the 16th November, 1963 .
