NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 9th December 1963
8.O. 3398.- Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri Govind Hari Deshpande elected to that House from the Nasik Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra .
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1851 , the Election Coramisdea bucby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 20th January , 1964 in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the vacancy so caused.

5.O. 3399. -In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye - election to be held in the Nasik Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra in pursuance of its notification No. 100/ MT - HP / 22 /63 ( 1 ) dated the 9th December , 1963 :-
(a) the 16th December , 1963 , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) the 18th December , 1963 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 21st December , 1963 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) the 12th January, 1964, as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
(e ) the 20th January , 1964 , as the date before which the election shall be completed.

S.O. 3400. In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951, the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8 A. M. to 5 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the House of the People from the Nasik Parliamentary Constituency, to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / MT - HP/ 22/ 63 ( 1 ) , dated the 9th December , 1963 .
