conferred under Section 122 of the S.R.O. Act XXXVIJ of 1956 and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf and by virtue and on the strength of the notification of the Government of India No. 71/19 ( 2 ) / 57 ARO Minis- try of Home Affairs dated 28th February, 1957 , the Administrator, Union Territory of Laccadives is hereby pleased to direct and order that the Tahsildar , Minicoy employed for the time being in the Minicoy Island shall exercise all the powers , duties and functions which under the Laccadive Islands and Minicoy Regulation 1 of 1912 , the Assistantto the Administrator is empowered to exer- cise and perform in his respective territorial jurisdiction .
