IMPORT TRADE CONTHOL .
New Delhi , the 23rd December , 1908.
SUBJECT . Deletion of the items imitation/ real zari , embroidered and woven articles of imitation / real zari and brocades thereof from the purview of the Special Export Promotion Scheme for Handicrafts .
No. 157 - ITC ( PN ) /63.-Attention of the trade is invited to Sl . No. 12 of Part I of Annexure I of Appendix 23 of the Import Trade Control Policy Book for April, 1963-March , 1964 , as amended from time to time.
2. The Export Promotion Scheme for imitation / real zari has been reviewed and it has been decided to delete these items from the Special Export Promotion Scheme for Handicrafts . Accordingly the existing entry in col . 3 , against Sl . No. 12 of Part I of Annexure I of Appendix 23 , of the current Red Book should be sub- stituted by:-
"Handicrafts items of copper, or of copper and zinc alloys , manufactures of coral , ivory , alabastor ( mother of pearls ) and natural coral trees etc." .
The existing policy in respect of item other than imitation / real xari of Handicrafts under the Special Export Promotion Scheme for Handicrafts will re- main unchanged.
3. This amendment will take effect from 24th December, 1963 .
