New Delhi , the 31st December 1963
S.O. 3607. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 1 of the Companies ( Amendment ) Act , 1963 ( 53 of 1963 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the first day of January , 1964 as the date on which the provisions of the sald Act other than the provisions of section 8 thereof shall come into force .
