RESOLUTION
New Dellu , the 9th January , 1964 .
No. 2 ( 3 ) / TEX ( D ) / 63 . In their resolutions No. 24 ( 38 ) -TEX ( D ) / 62 , dated the 9th May, 1963 and 2nd July , 1963 , the Government of India requested the Tariff Commission under articlele 12 ( d)(d) of the Tariff Commission Act, 1951 , to examine and report on the fair prices for all types / deniers of viscose filament yarn and other man - made fibre yarn other than acetate rayon yarn and the cost of production of two staple fibre manufacturing units , the fair ex - mill prices of staple fibre and the fair prices payable by the consumers .
In view of the removal of price control on staple fibre and acetate rayon yarn and also of the voluntary price control scheme in regard to viscose rayon yarn in pursuance of the amendment made in Parliament on the 16th December , 1963 , it has been decided that it is not necessary for the Tariff Commission to continuentinue the examination of the above questions .
The Tariff Commission is therefore requested not to continue any further the examination of the question of fair prices of all types / deniers of viscose filament yarn and other man - made fibre yarn other than acetate rayon yarn and the cost of production of the two staple fibre manufacturing units , the fair er - mill prices of staple fibre and the fair prices payable by the consumers .

Ordered that the Resolution be published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary and that it be communicated to all concerned .
