G.S.R. 180. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 , read with sub - section ( 3 ) of section 160 , of the Customs Act , 1962 (52 of 1962 ) , and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of FinanceFinance ( Department of Revenue ) NoNo. 154 - Customs , dated the 12th July , 1957 , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts rice , husked or unhusked , includ- ing rice flour but excluding rice bran and rice dust, falling under Item No. 4 of the Second Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act , 1934 ( 32 of 1934 ) , when export- ed from India, from the whole of the duty of customs specified in the said Second Schedule .
