IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT . Import of " fruits " of all sorts excluding coconuts and cashewnuts , fresh , dried , salted or preserved , n.o.s , and excluding dates ( S. No. 21 (a) / IV) , Asafoetida ( S. No. 31 / V ) , Cumin seeds and medicinal herbs from Afghanistan .
No. 21 - ITC ( PN ) /64.-Attention is invited to the Ministry of Interna- tional Trade Public Notice No. 20 - ITC ( PN ) / 64, dated 5th March , 1964 , which is hereby amended as following: -
(a) In para 2 , between the words " motor parts " and " will not " read-
"and the items specified in Schedule ' C' of Annexure I , to the Ministry of International Trade Public Notice No. 11 - ITC ( PN ) , 64 , dated 20th February , 1964 " .
(b) After para 5 , new para 6 reads-
" 6. The valuation of imports to be effected by the ' Newew Comer' firms referred to in para 5 above , will be on the same basis as stipulated in letter No. 2 of Annexure I to the Public Notice No. 11 - ITC ( PN ) / 64, dated 20th February, 1964. Import permits to 'New Comer ' firms eligible in terms of this Public Notice will be issued subject to the provision of para 2 of the Public Notice No. 11 - ITC ( PN ) / 64 , dated 20th February , 1964 and also to be observance of other formalities relating to the issue of import permits detailed in that Public Notice" .
( c ) Old para 6 stands renumbered as para 7 .
