NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 28th March 1964
S.O. 1111. Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People consequent on the election of Shri Vidyacharan Shukla, a member elected to that House from the Mahasamund Constituency in the State of Madhya Pradesh , having been declared vold by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh ;
Now, thcrefore , in pursuance of the provisions of section 149 of the Representa- tion of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect , before the 8th May , 1964 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder, a person to fill the vacancy so caused .

S.O. 1112. In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye - election to be held in the Mahasamund Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Madhya Pradesh in pursuance of its notification No. 100/ MP- HP/15 / 63 (1) , dated the 28th March , 1964 ,-
( a) the 4th April , 1964 , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 6th April , 1964 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
( c) the 9th April , 1964 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) the 3rd May , 1964 , as the date on which the poll shall , if necessary , be taken; and
( e) the 8th May , 1964 , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

S.O. 1113. In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951, the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8-00 A.M. to 4-00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary be taken for the election to the House of the People from the Mahasamund Constituency to be held in pur- suance of its notification No. 100 / MP - HP / 15 / 63 ( 1 ) , dated the 28th March , 1964 .
