CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 1st April 1967
G.S.R. 465.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the fol- lowing amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance; No. 153/66-Central Excises, dated the 1st October, 1966, namely:—
In the Table annexed to the said Notification, in column (2) against Serial No. 2—
(a) for the existing item (1), the following Item shall be substituted, name- ly:—
'•(1) where they are proved to the satisfaction of the Collector of Central Excise to be intended to be used in the making of hosiery garments, and the procedure set out in Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, is followed";
122 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART 11-SEC. 8 (i)]G.SJt. 466.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 U the Central Excises Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 19B7 (58 of 1957), (he Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Bevenue and Insurance) No. 159/66-Central Excises, dated the 8th October, 1966, namely:— In the Table annexed to the said Notification, in column (2) against Serial No. 2 —
(ai for the existing Item (i), the following Item shaty be substituted, name- ly:—
"(i) where they are proved to the satisfaction of the Collector of Central Excise to be intended to be used in the making of hosiery garments, and the procedure set out in Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules 1944, Is followed";
(b) in the existing item (il) for the words "where they are cleared out of the factory" the words "in all other cases, where they are cleared out of the factory" shall be substituted.
