NOTIFICATIONS New Delhi, the 5th April 1967
S.O. 1264. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Representa- tion of the People Act, 1951, and in supersession of its notification No. 100/J&K- CS/2/67C4) dated the 5th April, 1967, the Election Commission, in consultation with the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, hereby designates the Deputy Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, to be the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/ J&K-CS/2/67(l), dated the 5th April, 1967.

S.O. 1267.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. and in supersession of its notifica- tion No. 100/J&K-CS/l/67(5), dated the 6th April, 1967, the Election Commission hereby appoints the Under Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/J&K-CS/1/67U), dated the 6th April, 1967, in the performance of his functions.
